Venice Gondola Morning Tour Itinerary

For any keen traveller who makes their way to Venice, taking a trip on a gondola is essentially a rite of passage. Take part in one of the city’s iconic symbols as this 30-minute Venice Gondola Tour has you floating down the famous Grand Canal and into many of the lesser-known waterways. You won’t have to dream about Venice anymore as you discover why the canals of Venice remain so special.

Pushed along by an expert Venetian gondolier, we’ll avoid many of Venice’s busiest canals and instead head down the quieter waterways that make for a relaxing experience. This shared gondola adventure begins near the Grand Canal’s starting point and passes by many of the city’s most historic landmarks, including the Mozart House, the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, the Accademia Bridge and the Palazzo Gritti, among many others. We might not be traversing the entire 3800-meters of the city’s major highway, but we’ll still get to admire the incredible wealth that the Venetian Republic has amassed over the last several hundred years, as we look back towards the shore.

Once we’ve finished exploring the Grand Canal and the wonderful monuments set along the waterfront, your gondolier will steer you off the main waterway and into Venice’s charming narrow canals. These watery streets might not be as famous, but they continue to feature some outstanding buildings that offer some fascinating tales. We’ll also pass beneath three picturesque bridges that you can reach out and touch as we weave our way through a tight stretch into the Venetian suburbs. Along the way, keep an eye out for some remarkable highlights, such as the Palazzo Barbarigo Mocenigo, the Palazzo Marin and the Palazzo Molin del Cuoridoro, where Mozart performed in 1771.

Having finished exploring the smaller canals of Venice, your gondolier will turn back towards our starting point. Riding a Venice Gondola along the canals is an unforgettable experience – so leave behind the mainland and enjoy the city’s most historic sights from the water. This Venice Gondola Tour makes it easy to get immersed within the very best sights that Venice has to offer as you explore the city’s unique way of life.
