Private Venice Gondola Tour Itinerary

If you’ve always dreamt of cruising along the canals of Venice, seeing the gorgeous sights of the city from your own personal gondola then it’s time to tick it off your bucket list! Hop aboard our gondola tour with your friends, family or loved one and embark upon this quintessentially Venetian experience.

As you glide along the most iconic of Venice’s canals, the Grand Canal, you will have the chance to admire some truly incredible architecture. Your itinerary includes many important sites including the supposedly cursed palace known as Ca’ Dario. It is said that if you own the palace, try to purchase it or stay for a prolonged period that something bad will happen to you. Connected to the financial ruin, injury, and even death of many of its residents, the belief in the curse is so strong that local anglers refuse to fish nearby.

Neighbouring the palace is the former home of modern art collector, Peggy Guggenheim. Housed within are several important works of art created by some of the greatest artists of the 20th-century such as Picasso, Miro, and Pollock. From the water, you will see the white, columned front of the gallery with its elegant front steps leading to the waterside.

As well as the buildings of Venice you will also see one of its most famous bridges, the Ponte dell’Accademia. Originally built as a temporary replacement for an earlier iron bridge, this structure is unique since, unlike many of the bridges of Venice, if it made from wood. As you gaze up at the bridge, see if you can spot any padlocks attached to the sides. Councils have been trying to stop lovers from attaching their ‘love locks’ to the bridge however, if you look closely, you may spot a few that have escaped the authorities.

Before gliding into the smaller side canals of the Venice waterways, you will pass the Palazzo Grassi. This contemporary art museum is a beautiful example of classical Venetian architecture and is almost as impressive as the art it contains.

As you travel away from the more famous sights of the Grand Canal, you will head into the tranquil and romantic minor canals. These aquatic passageways pass through the quieter areas of the city, giving you a look at the more everyday life of the inhabitants of Venice. Here you can relax, listen to the sounds of the water, and enjoy the peaceful soul of this incredible city.

Whether you are celebrating a special event, embarking upon a trip of a lifetime, or simply wanting to get an authentic taste of Venice then this tour will be a highlight of your trip. Combine sightseeing with relaxation as you journey along the beautiful waterways of Venice, taking in all that this wonderful city has to offer from the comfort of your privately chartered gondola.
